We Put People First.

Businesses are made of people and ultimately succeed or fail because of the way they impact people.

We expect our team members to have great lives.

In many tech companies, working crazy hours is a part of the culture and a part of the expectation. We believe this is a recipe for burnout. While there are certainly times and situations that call for extra time, it should be the exception rather than the rule.

When employees have the time and energy they need to take care of their priorities outside of work (otherwise known as real life) they bring that fulfilled spirit back into the office. This is why we have a flexible schedule and encourage people to take time for their personal lives when they need it.

Respect is full duplex.

We believe that by treating employees like adults we trust and care for (hey, wait, they are), they’ll return the favor. We’ve seen time and time again how our team members respond to this trust by shining when it really matters to our clients and our company.

Clients are people too.

In the 1990s, there were signs that were popular to put on your desk that read “Failure to plan ahead on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.” At the time I took them as a lighthearted reminder to plan ahead (or a warning, depending on the demeanor of the person). I don’t want to ever see these at our company. Every person at a client organization is a human being first. They are affected by the same ups and downs, personal concerns and oversights as everyone else. While of course we want our clients to plan ahead when possible, more than that we want to be the people they turn to when they need rescued. We have learned that the most joyful business relationships are those where we give grace when someone is having a bad day and help them out when they forgot a deadline and need bailed out.

We believe that people come first. Fulfilling work is a part of a great life, but not the only part. We encourage each other to make time for the things that energize us, and that gives us the capacity to be generous with our clients when they need us.
